Large Midcentury Danish Coffee Table in Rosewood by Vejle Stole c.1975

A substantial Danish modern low table produced by Vejle Stole- og Møbelfabrik, Denmark, circa 1975, constructed in richly figured rosewood with a broad rectangular top and clean architectural frame. The surface is particularly well resolved, with the veneer laid in a geometric panelled arrangement that changes direction around the perimeter and central field, emphasising the natural variation and deep reddish-brown tones of the timber. A gently rounded edge softens the otherwise disciplined rectangular form.
