Midcentury Elm & Beech Drop-Leaf Dining Table by Ercol c.1965

A British 1960s dining table by Ercol, constructed from richly figured elm with a beech underframe and tapered splayed legs. The solid elm top has a softly rounded edge and warm honey-toned finish, with the distinctive swirling grain of the timber particularly visible across the broad surface. Two hinged leaves can be raised to create a generous circular dining area or lowered independently when less space is required, giving the piece considerable flexibility for everyday use.
