Set of 6 Midcentury Danish Dining Chairs in Rosewood c.1965

A group of six Danish midcentury dining chairs dating from circa 1965, constructed in richly figured rosewood with gently sculpted frames and olive-toned upholstered seats. Each chair is defined by a broad curved backrest with a softly dipped lower edge, supported between slender uprights that flow neatly into the rear legs. The front legs are similarly rounded and subtly tapered, while the shaped seat rails introduce a restrained sense of movement to the otherwise clean Scandinavian form. The rosewood displays particularly attractive variation in tone and grain across the backrests and structural elements.
