Small Midcentury Danish Sideboard in Teak with Sliding Doors c.1965

A compact Danish midcentury teak credenza dating from circa 1965, designed with clean proportions and the restrained detailing associated with Scandinavian modern furniture. The rectangular cabinet is finished in richly toned teak, with a subtly projecting top and neatly framed front. Two sliding doors run across the façade, each incorporating a long recessed finger pull carved directly into the timber, preserving the uncluttered appearance of the design. The doors can be positioned to reveal either side of the interior, where a central shelf provides practical storage for tableware, records or everyday household objects.
