Danish Teak Sideboard by Alderlyst Møbelfabrik c.1965

A Danish midcentury credenza by Alderlyst Møbelfabrik, crafted in richly grained teak and designed with the long, low proportions associated with Scandinavian furniture of the 1960s. The front combines sliding cabinet doors with a bank of four drawers, creating a balanced asymmetrical layout while providing varied storage. Slim recessed vertical handles are worked directly into the sliding doors, preserving the clean façade, while the drawers are finished with subtly shaped integral pulls. The cabinet stands on tapered timber legs, with a gently sculpted lower rail adding definition beneath the case.
