Small Midcentury Chest of Drawers in Oak by Lebus c.1965

A compact British drawer chest by Lebus, dating from the 1960s and finished in warm oak veneers with contrasting solid timber details. The upright case contains three full-width drawers, graduated slightly in depth to provide practical storage for clothing, linens or household essentials. Each front is fitted with a pair of small cylindrical brass knobs, introducing a restrained metallic accent against the evenly figured timber. A softly shaped gallery runs along the rear of the top, helping define the surface while providing a useful place for a lamp, mirror or decorative objects.
